The mixed-use development spanning 130,000 m² (including the basement levels) consists of eight buildings featuring 55,000 m² of office space (leased almost entirely to Alcatel-Lucent and the Flemish Community), a 17,000 m² hotel, 6,400 m² of residential units, 2,700 m² of shops as well as rotary parking facilities managed by Interparking, an AG Real Estate subsidiary.
The Kievitplein complex was originally developed by Robelco in 2006 and subsequently sold to KanAm. Architecture firm Jaspers-Eyers came up with the design concept.
This acquisition provides AG Real Estate with the opportunity to showcase its growing interest in strategically located developments in major cities across Belgium. The Kievitplein complex's close proximity to Antwerp Central railway station further enhances the long-term viability of the investment. The station also provides international connections via high-speed train and a direct link to Brussels Airport.
